Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc. (SIA), Associates celebrated another milestone
in July – the production of the millionth Subaru vehicle in Indiana. Associates
gathered outside of the Trim & Final Assembly area to celebrate the achievement,
unveiling the millionth Subaru vehicle produced – a Subaru Outback.
“This achievement is proof of the value of hard work,” said Kyoji Takenaka,
Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. President and COO, addressing SIA Associates during the
ceremony. “It is truly remarkable to think that one million Subaru vehicles
built at SIA have entered the world automotive market,” said Masayoshi Nagano,
SIA President and CEO. “It is even more remarkable that because of the exceptional
quality that you have built into each vehicle, almost all of those one million Subarus
are still in use today.”
