![]() Subaru of America, Inc. unveiled the 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT spec.B at the New York International Automobile Show last April. Although it carries over many features from the 2006 spec.B, this new model advances the spec.B concept for American drivers and introduces SUBARU Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE). The Legacy 2.5 GT spec.B performance sedan has the award-winning 2.5-liter intercooled and turbocharged four-cylinder Boxer engine (243 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm, 241 lb-ft of torque @ 3,500 rpm). The only transmission available for the spec.B is a six-speed manual – something new for 2007. The chassis has a Bilstein® Sport Suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels and high-performance tires, which were all available on the 2006 model. The 2007 model also has a Torsen® limited-slip rear differential, the Subaru Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The 2007’s interior has exclusive Charcoal Gray leather-trimmed upholstery with Dusk Blue Alcantara® inserts*. New for 2007 is standard SRS® WOW audio system, MP3 and Windows® Media Audio (WMA) playback and an input jack for iPods and other portable audio devices. Plus, the Legacy 2.5 GT spec.B is pre-wired for XM Satellite Radio (as are all Legacy and Outback models). SI-DRIVE THREE ENGINES IN ONE
From smooth and economical to highly performance-oriented, the modes are “Intelligent,” “Sport” and “Sport Sharp.” Changes between modes can be made at any time to suit driving conditions and personal tastes.
