When entering a destination or waypoint, be sure to designate the correct search area. Otherwise the system will search in vain to find where you want to go. To change the search area, press the DEST button and select the Change button. Find the correct area (zone) on the map.
To adjust the Navigation System clock, select the Menu button, then Navigation Set Up, and then Set Clock. From there, you can select the Display Type (12 or 24 hour), Daylight Saving Time mode, and Time Zone.
To shut off or to change the volume of the Navigation System’s voice prompts, press the Menu button. Select Volume and press the button of the desired level or use the volume arrows at the bottom of the screen, depending on the vehicle.
The Navigation System can store up to 100 memory points. Select Menu, then Stored Location. Then select Memory Points. Some systems allow you to select the storage location category for the memory point you wish to add.
Then select Add. Set the memory point using the preferred method from the display – Address, Point of Interest, Select from Map, Emergency, Memory Point, or Previous Destination.
When the Check Engine warning light illuminates, it’s telling you that the vehicle’s onboard diagnostic system has found a potential problem. That problem might be in the ignition, fuel injection system, or emission control.
However, the first thing to check is the gas cap. If it’s loose, that might be causing the light to come on. If it’s not loose, try to avoid high-speed driving or heavy loads until you have the vehicle checked by a qualified technician.
You don’t have to pull to the side of the road and stop driving, but do not ignore the problem. Having the vehicle diagnosed promptly will help you avoid severe and costly damage to engine components.
